New Altadena and Pasadena Disaster Recovery Center Opens Monday

The Altadena and Pasadena disaster recovery center at Pasadena City College’s Community Education Center will close at the end of January. Operations will transition to a longer-term facility near Jackson Elementary School at 540 W. Woodbury Road in Altadena.

The new disaster recovery center in Altadena opens Monday, January 27th, with hours from 9 am to 8 pm and will be available to all area fire victims seven days a week.

Los Angeles County departments with staff at the new Altadena center on Monday include:

  • Aging and Disabilities Department
  • Office of the Assessor
  • Department of Animal Care and Control
  • Department of Child Support Services
  • Department of Consumer and Business Affairs
  • Department of Economic Opportunity
  • Department of Mental Health
  • Department of Military & Veterans Affairs
  • Department of Public Health
  • Department of Public Social Services
  • Department of Public Works
  • Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk
  • Department of Regional Planning
  • Department of Treasurer Tax Collector

The State of California will have representatives from the following agencies at the Altadena location:

  • Department of Motor Vehicles
  • Employment Development Dept
  • Department of Social Services
  • Franchise Tax Board
  • Department of Insurance
  • Contractors State License Board
  • Department of Tax and Fee Administration
  • Department of Public Health – Vital Records
  • Department of Veteran Affairs
  • Department of Housing and Community Development

The following Federal agencies will also have representatives on hand:

  • FEMA
  • Small Business Administration
  • Social Security Administration
