The City of Pasadena plans to open a cooling center at Jackie Robinson Community Center this weekend.
Jackie Robinson Community Center is located at 1020 N. Fair Oaks Ave. in Pasadena, and features free WiFi in addition to industrial-strength air conditioning.
Speaking of industrial-strength air conditioning, Local News Pasadena recommends a visit to the Pasadena Ice Skating Center, located in the Convention Center complex, whenever things get really hot. Skate or just watch others, some of whom may be future Winter Olympians in curling, ice hockey or figure skating. The address is 300 E. Green Street in Pasadena.
